snow!

Lots and lots of snow! Church was cancelled for a lot of us, so last night I heard about how a bunch of us were doing church down in Spange. So that was at 11 am.

Sam and Jamison played their guitars and we sang a bunch of worship songs....Prince of Peace, You Are Worthy of My Praise, Holy is the Lord, How Great is our God, Enough, The More I Seek You, Your Love is Deep, and I think that was about it.

We read Psalm 119: 1-16, and also talked about being "perfect." The dictionary says perfect means to have fulfilled your purpose. "So if someone asks if I'm the perfect child, yeah! I am my parents' child." Then we sorta talked about Tom Oord's message a bit (I need to get my chapel notes up on here), and Arielle read another passage that fit right in.

"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." (Isaiah 55: 9-11)

It was a really good time, and if church is cancelled again due to snow, I think we should do it again. I'm not saying that we should have a college-age only church, because then we lose out on what the other generations can teach us.
